Classes

Death Knight

Death Knights have received several adjustments. Death Strike healing is now limited, and some talents and abilities have been nerfed across all three specializations.

Blood

Blood Death Knights see a significant buff to their overall damage, along with a new aura to track Death Strike value. However, Blood Shield‘s cap has been lowered, and some abilities like Leeching Strike and Dancing Rune Weapon have been toned down. Bonestorm received a damage buff but now heals for less and has a shorter duration per charge consumed. Several talents related to Blood Plague and diseases have also been adjusted.

Frost

Frost Death Knights face a reduction in overall ability damage, with notable nerfs to Glacial Advance and Icy Death Torrent. However, Frost Strike, Obliterate, and Breath of Sindragosa have received damage increases. Several talents have been adjusted, and Cryogenic Chamber now has a fixed duration and resets at the start of encounters.

Unholy

Unholy Death Knights also experience a reduction in overall ability damage, but Clawing Shadow sees a significant damage buff. Ebon Fever and Bursting Sores have been nerfed, and Superstrain now applies diseases less effectively. Raise Abomination now costs a Rune, and an issue with Unholy Blight has been fixed.

Demon Hunters

Demon Hunters have seen a mix of buffs and nerfs in this update. Live By the Glaive healing has been reduced for both specializations.

Havok

Havoc Demon Hunters received a substantial 13% increase to all ability damage, and Eye Beam damage has been doubled. However, the healing from consuming Lesser Soul Fragments has been decreased, although A Fire Inside now has a higher chance to refund an Immolation Aura charge.

Vengeance

Vengeance Demon Hunters also benefit from a 15% increase to all ability damage. However, several defensive and utility talents have been nerfed, including Thick Skin, Demonic Wards, Soul Cleave, Frailty, and Void Reaver. Additionally, the Parry chance from Illuminated Sigils and the cooldown reduction from Down in Flames have been reduced. Metamorphosis now provides a smaller health increase, and Darkglare Boon’s benefits have been slightly diminished.

Druid

Druids across all specializations have received significant adjustments. Regrowth’s initial heal has been increased, while its healing over time has been slightly reduced. Swiftmend has also received a significant healing buff.

Balance

Balance Druids see a boost to all spell damage and a notable increase to Wild Mushroom damage and Astral Power generation. Several talents have been tweaked, including a damage reduction to Denizen of the Dream, but its attacks are now affected by abilities that increase spell damage or critical strike chance.

Feral

Feral Druids benefit from increased melee auto-attack and ability damage. Rip, Rake, Shred, Swipe, Brutal Slash, and Thrash have all received damage buffs. Several talents related to damage and Energy management have also been adjusted. Berserk now provides a larger damage increase, and Incarnation reduces ability Energy costs further.

Guardian

Guardian Druids also see a boost to melee auto-attack and bear ability damage, but Moonfire damage has been reduced. Several talents related to defense and cooldowns have been adjusted, and the Rage requirement for After the Wildfire has been increased. Some abilities like Frenzied Regeneration and Dream of Cenarius have received healing nerfs.

Restoration

Restoration Druids have received buffs to several healing abilities, including Lifebloom, Tranquility, Rejuvenation, Wild Growth, Cenarion Ward, Embrace of the Dream, and Nourish. Convoke the Spirits now casts additional spells for Restoration Druids, and several talents have been adjusted. However, some offensive abilities like Rip, Rake, Shred, Ferocious Bite, and Sunfire have been nerfed in PvE content.

Evoker

Evokers are seeing a mix of damage and healing buffs across the board. Key abilities like Disintegrate, Fire Breath, Azure Strike, and Deep Breath all get a 10% damage increase, while Verdant Embrace and Living Flame receive substantial healing improvements.

Augmentation

In the Augmentation specialization, Black Attunement’s health increase has been halved, and Aspects’ Favor now provides a smaller bonus. Ebon Might’s primary stat increase is also slightly reduced, and Close as Clutchmates has been removed.

Devastation

Devastation Evokers get a massive damage boost to Eternity Surge, along with smaller increases to Pyre, Shattering Star, Unravel, and Firestorm. Animosity now extends Dragonrage’s duration even further, and Titanic Wrath becomes more accessible as a 1-point node. Additionally, Imminent Destruction and Feed the Flames swap places in the talent tree, with Imminent Destruction no longer a capstone.

Preservation

For Preservation Evokers, Spiritbloom healing gets a nice boost, and Reversion now extends its own duration when refreshed. Emerald Blossom and Echo casts become more efficient by not consuming Essence Burst when released from Stasis. Lifebind’s healing trigger is expanded to include procs, and a bug fix prevents Field of Dreams procs from incorrectly benefiting from Titan’s Gift.

Hunter

Hunters have experienced some adjustments, most notably a reduction in Rejuvenating Wind’s healing. Additionally, a bug with Ghillie Suit has been fixed.

Beast Mastery

Beast Mastery Hunters have seen a decrease in pet melee damage and several abilities, including Laceration, Kill Command, and Barbed Shot. A couple of issues related to pet summoning and Laceration damage attribution have also been addressed.

Marksmanship

Marksmanship Hunters now have a smoother Wind Arrows experience, as they fire after Aimed Shot and several bugs have been resolved. Rapid Fire’s cooldown between Wind Arrow procs has been significantly reduced.

Survival

Survival Hunters have had their Grenade Juggler talent revamped, now reducing Wildfire Bomb’s cooldown when casting Explosive Shot. Flanking Strike and Harpoon now pull hunters to the edge of the target’s hitbox, and Wildfire Bomb’s damage distribution has been adjusted. Several abilities, including Raptor Strike, Mongoose Bite, and Flanking Strike, have received minor damage increases, while Explosive Shot’s damage has been slightly reduced. A couple of bugs related to Flanking Strike and Kill Command scaling have also been fixed.

Mage

Mages have undergone several changes. Reabsorption’s healing has been decreased, and Cryo-Freeze now provides less healing to Ice Block. Mass Barrier’s cooldown has been increased.

Arcane

Arcane Mages learn Clearcasting earlier, and Mastery: Savant now provides significantly increased damage bonuses to Arcane Barrage and Arcane Blast. While Arcane Blast and Arcane Missiles have received damage buffs, Arcane Barrage’s base damage has been reduced, but its damage scaling per Arcane Charge has been significantly increased. Other Arcane abilities like Arcane Familiar and Arcane Echo have also been buffed, while Arcane Orb’s damage has been slightly reduced. High Voltage and Aether Attunement have been adjusted, and several bug fixes have been implemented.

Fire

Fire Mages see increased damage to several key abilities, including Pyroblast, Phoenix Flames, Fireball, Scorch, and Flamestrike. However, Living Bomb has undergone a significant rework, with reduced damage, a target cap, and less impactful visuals in raid groups. Several talents related to Living Bomb have also been adjusted.

Frost

Frost Mages receive damage increases to core abilities like Ice Lance, Glacial Spike, Flurry, Blizzard, Frozen Orb, Comet Storm, and Ray of Frost. Talents like Splintering Ray and Splitting Ice also see improvements. Cone of Cold’s damage has been significantly increased, while Death’s Chill now stacks higher but provides a smaller damage bonus per stack. Time Anomaly now grants a temporary Water Elemental when it procs Icy Veins, and Refreshing Icy Veins no longer breaks certain effects. Finally, some talent tree adjustments have been made.

Monk

Monks have received adjustments across all specializations. Healing Elixir and Healing Winds now provide less healing, while Yu’lon’s Grace grants a smaller absorb shield but more frequently. Clash now has a longer cooldown.

Brewmaster

Brewmaster Monks have seen a reduction in their Mastery: Elusive Brawler dodge chance, but all ability damage has been increased. Several talents have been adjusted, including Celestial Fortune, Staggering Strikes, Spirit of the Ox, and Elixir of Determination, which now heal for less. Additionally, Chi Wave and Chi Burst damage has been decreased, while Detox’s energy cost has been halved.

Mistweaver

Mistweaver Monks have received significant buffs to their healing abilities, including Vivify, Revival, Restoral, and Gust of Mist. Overflowing Mist now provides more healing, while Life Cocoon’s absorb amount has been reduced. Several talents related to healing and mana management have been adjusted, and a bug with Revival dispelling debuffs has been fixed.

Windwalker

Windwalker Monks have seen a decrease in damage for several abilities, including Blackout Kick, Tiger Palm, Rising Sun Kick, Fists of Fury, Thunderfist, Strike of the Windlord, and Whirling Dragon Punch’s area of effect damage. However, Spinning Crane Kick and Rushing Jade Wind have received damage increases. Chi Burst’s damage has been reduced, but its activation effect can now stack and has a longer duration. Chi Wave damage has been significantly increased, and Detox’s energy cost has been halved. Several talents have been adjusted, and various bug fixes have been implemented.

Paladin

Paladins have seen a reduction in the number of allies affected by Lightforged Blessing. Flash of Light and Seal of the Crusader healing have been increased, while Shield of the Righteous now provides a smaller armour increase. The damage reduction from Of Dusk and Dawn’s Dusk buff has been lowered, and Sanctified Plates no longer affects bonus armour from Shield of the Righteous.

Holy

Holy Paladins have experienced significant changes to their healing and damage output. Several core abilities, including Holy Light, Holy Shock, Word of Glory, Light of Dawn, and Flash of Light, have received healing reductions. However, Crusader Strike and Shield of the Righteous now deal more damage. Talents like Blessing of Dawn, Blessing of Summer, and Hammer of Wrath have also been adjusted. Several bug fixes and talent tree rearrangements have been implemented.

Protection

Protection Paladins now deal increased damage with all abilities, but the damage reduction from Mastery: Divine Bulwark has been lowered. Improved Holy Shield’s block chance has been reduced, and Sentinel and Eye of Tyr now have shorter durations. Righteous Protector’s cooldown reduction has also been decreased.

Retribution

Retribution Paladins gain a new talent, Holy Flames, which enhances Divine Storm and increases damage to targets affected by Expurgation. Crusader Aura is no longer granted by default, while Greater Judgment is now baseline. Several abilities, including Final Verdict, Templar’s Verdict, Justicar’s Vengeance, and Hammer of Wrath, have received damage reductions. However, Blade of Vengeance and Divine Storm have been buffed. Some talent adjustments and bug fixes have also been made.

Priest

Priests have received several buffs to their healing and damage capabilities. Flash Heal, Power Word: Shield, Power Word: Life, and Cauterizing Shadows all see significant healing increases.

Discipline

Discipline Priests no longer have their overall healing reduced, and instead, see a 5% increase to all damage. Key abilities like Holy Nova, Power Word: Shield, and Power Word: Radiance receive further buffs. Some talents have been adjusted, and a few bugs related to Atonement healing have been fixed.

Holy

Holy Priests get a 10% boost to all damage, and substantial healing increases to Heal, Flash Heal, Prayer of Healing, and Circle of Healing. Holy Word: Serenity and Divine Image’s Healing Light also receive healing buffs. Some talent adjustments have been made, and a bug with Gales of Song has been addressed.

Shadow

Shadow Priests benefit from a 3% damage increase across the board. Dark Ascension now provides a smaller damage buff, but Mind Flay and Mind Spike see a significant 50% damage increase. Mind Melt now stacks fewer times but grants a larger critical strike chance bonus to Mind Blast. Idol of C’Thun’s Mind Flay and Mind Sear have been adjusted, and several bug fixes have been implemented.

Rogue

Rogues have undergone various changes, including adjustments to their defensive abilities and damage output across specialisations. Cloaked in Shadows now provides a smaller absorb shield, and Soothing Darkness heals for less over time. Recuperator triggers less frequently, while Gouge and Kidney Shot have longer cooldowns, with Kidney Shot also gaining increased duration in PvE content.

Assassination

Assassination Rogues benefit from a 14% increase to all ability damage and a 20% boost to auto-attack damage. Envenom and Crimson Tempest also see damage increases, and Venomous Wounds now restores more energy. A visual improvement has been made to Poison Bomb.

Outlaw

Outlaw Rogues gain a significant 21% increase to all ability damage, along with a 20% boost to auto-attack damage. Sinister Strike, Pistol Shot, Blade Flurry, and Killing Spree all receive damage buffs. Several talents related to Roll the Bones and Energy regeneration have also been improved.

Subtlety

Subtlety Rogues see a 10% increase to auto-attack damage, and Eviscerate and Black Powder also get damage boosts. However, Secret Technique’s damage has been slightly reduced.

Shaman

Shamans across all specializations have received numerous adjustments and bug fixes. Healing Surge’s healing has been increased, while Stone Bulwark Totem now has a longer cooldown but a significantly increased effect. Several issues related to totems, abilities, and talents have been resolved.

Elemental

Elemental Shamans see damage increases to Lightning Bolt, Thunderstrike Ward, Earth Shock, Icefury, Earthen Rage, Lava Beam, and Chain Lightning. However, Lava Burst, Elemental Blast, Earthquake, and Flame Shock have received damage reductions. Call Lightning has been reworked with increased damage, duration, and cooldown, but a reduced cast time. Several talents and abilities related to Elemental Shaman have also been adjusted, and various bug fixes have been implemented.

Enhancement

Enhancement Shamans benefit from a damage increase to Elemental Blast and a cooldown reduction for Primordial Wave. Doom Winds’ cooldown has also been reduced, and Splintered Elements now grants less Haste. Several abilities now initiate combat, and some visual and talent tree adjustments have been made.

Restoration

Restoration Shamans have had their overall healing reduced by 5% in PvE content, and Earthen Wall Totem’s health has been decreased. However, Riptide, Unleash Life, Healing Wave, and Reactive Warding have received healing increases. Several talents related to healing and mana management have been adjusted, and various bug fixes have been implemented.

Warlock

Warlocks have received changes to their core survivability and damage across all specializations. Demon Skin’s absorb shield is now less powerful but stacks more frequently, and a bug with Lifeblood has been fixed.

Affliction

Affliction Warlocks get a significant damage boost to several key abilities, including Unstable Affliction, Darkglare, Soul Rot, Agony, and Malefic Rapture. Several bugs related to Phantom Singularity, Tormented Crescendo, and Cull the Weak have also been addressed.

Demonology

Demonology Warlocks see increased damage for Wild Imps and Demonbolt. Demonic Core now has a higher chance to grant a Demonic Core when Dreadstalkers fade away, and a bug with Shadowtouched has been fixed. Additionally, issues with Demonic Brutality and Impending Doom have been resolved.

Destruction

Destruction Warlocks receive substantial damage buffs to Chaos Bolt and Shadowburn, with smaller increases to Conflagrate, Soul Fire, Channel Demonfire, Summon Infernal, and Rain of Fire. However, Incinerate’s damage has been decreased. Pyrogenics now provides a smaller damage increase, and Ritual of Ruin activates after spending more Soul Shards. Avatar of Destruction and Summon Infernal now generate Soul Shard Fragments more slowly. Several bug fixes related to Power Overwhelming and Rain of Fire have been implemented.

Warrior

Warriors have received a mix of buffs and nerfs in this update. Shield Slam’s damage has been increased, but Pain and Gain now heals for less.

Arms

Arms Warriors have seen a reduction in damage for Mortal Strike and Overpower, while Storm Wall’s healing has been decreased.

Fury

Fury Warriors now receive less healing from Invigorating Fury.

Protection

Protection Warriors have received a significant buff to their melee attack and ability damage. Additionally, several key abilities, including Revenge, Execute, Devastator, Shield Charge, and Ravager, have received damage increases. However, Defensive Stance now reduces damage taken by a smaller amount, and some talents, such as Into the Fray, Punish, Enduring Alacrity, and Indomitable, have been slightly nerfed. On the other hand, Defender’s Aegis and Impenetrable Wall provide stronger benefits, while Disrupting Shout’s cooldown has been increased and Impending Victory now heals for less.

Items

A significant quality-of-life improvement has been implemented for guilds with Cross-Realm Guild bank functionality now available. In addition, a bug fix addresses an issue with High Inquisitor Whitemane in Scarlet Monastery of Old, ensuring that she now correctly drops loot as intended.

Player Versus Player

In PvP, the “No-Show” debuff for leaving matches early is now account-wide. The Gladiator’s Distinction 2-set bonus has been adjusted, providing less Stamina but adding a Primary Stat bonus for healers.

Death Knight

Death Knights lose the Necrotic Aura PvP talent, and several abilities and talents have reduced effectiveness in PvP. Frost Fever damage is no longer increased, addressing its overperformance.

Demon Hunter

Demon Hunters see Rain From Above’s cooldown increased and lose the Chaotic Imprint PvP talent.

Druid

Druids have several abilities and talents unnerfed in PvP. Rake, Shred, and Ferocious Bite damage reductions are removed, as is the armour reduction in Bear and Moonkin Forms. Rip damage is also no longer reduced. Balance Druids see improvements to Shooting Stars, Umbral Embrace, and Starsurge, while Feral Druids get buffs to Rampant Ferocity, Feral Frenzy, and Primal Wrath. A bug with Ravage has been fixed. Restoration Druids receive significant buffs, with Mastery: Harmony no longer being reduced and now being more effective in PvP. Several healing abilities are improved, while Wrath, Starfire, and Moonfire damage is decreased in PvP.

Hunter

Hunters lose the additional damage reduction from Survival of the Fittest and the extra healing from Exhilaration in PvP. Kill Shot and Binding Shot also see adjustments. Beast Mastery Hunters have several abilities unnerfed in PvP, including Cobra Shot, Bestial Wrath, Barbed Shot, Kill Shot, Multi-Shot, and Auto Shot. Marksmanship Hunters receive similar unnerfs to Razor Fragments, Explosive Shot, Kill Shot, Multi-Shot, and Auto Shot. Survival Hunters have Serpent Sting, Raptor Strike, and Mongoose Bite unnerfed.

Mage

Mages’ barrier abilities have reduced absorb values in PvP. Arcane Mages gain a new PvP talent, Chrono Shift, and see several adjustments to talents and abilities. Fire Mages have numerous abilities unnerfed, and two PvP talents are buffed. Frost Mages see improvements to Glacial Assault and Ice Lance, but Splitting Ice’s secondary target damage is reduced. Several other Frost abilities and talents are adjusted.

Monk

Monks see adjustments to crowd control durations and damage in PvP. Mistweaver Monks receive several buffs, including increased healing from Ancient Teachings and Vivify, and a damage increase to Chi Burst. Windwalker Monks have Rising Sun Kick unnerfed and gain improvements to Storm, Earth, and Fire clones and Rising Dragon Sweep.

Paladin

Paladins have minor changes to Holy Shock and Denounce in PvP. Retribution Paladins benefit from several unnerfed abilities, including Justicar’s Vengeance, Truth’s Wake, Searing Light, and Divine Storm.

Priest

Priests’ Greater Heal PvP talent now heals for less, while Mindgames sees a significant increase in damage and healing reversal. Discipline Priests have Power Word: Radiance and Purge the Wicked unnerfed in PvP. Holy Priests receive a buff to Divine Hymn and Prayer of Mending healing in PvP.

Rogue

Rogues’ Gouge now has a shorter duration in PvP.

Shaman

Shamans’ Electrocute PvP talent deals more damage, and Totem of Wrath provides a smaller bonus. Lava Burst damage is increased, and Volcanic Surge now provides a smaller buff to Lava Burst. Seasoned Winds’ damage reduction is also reduced. A bug with Earth Shield has been fixed. Restoration Shamans no longer receive increased Healing Stream Totem healing in PvP.

Warlock

Warlocks have Shadow Bolt damage increased in PvP, while Health Funnel and Dark Pact are unnerfed. Call Observer now deals less damage. Demonic Healthstones and Soulburn: Healthstone provide less healing in PvP. Affliction Warlocks gain Soul Swap as a PvP talent and see several adjustments to abilities and talents. Demonology and Destruction Warlocks have various abilities unnerfed in PvP.

Warrior

Warriors’ Thunderous Roar and Shockwave are unnerfed, and Armored to the Teeth provides a smaller bonus. Impending Victory heals for less in PvP, and Shockwave no longer has an increased duration. Arms Warriors see significant unnerfs to several abilities and talents. Fury Warriors also have several abilities unnerfed. Protection Warriors have Rend and Shield Slam unnerfed, and Battering Ram’s effect is no longer decreased.

User Interface and Accessibility

Several improvements and fixes have been made to the User Interface and Accessibility features.

Character Selection UI

Character selection has been streamlined with fixes to the exit button and AddOn panel, along with a helpful popup for characters with pending Gear Updates.

Group Finder

Group Finder and Group Manager now offer improved readability with new role icons, and options to clear markers have been removed.

Professions

The Professions interface has been enhanced with clearer tooltips for rewards and Concentration costs.

Questing

Quest UI has received several improvements, including better font colours for dark mode, a dedicated category for Meta quests, and default enabling of the Local Stories filter. Quest bosses now have larger portrait previews with updated artwork. Focus management in the quest tracker has been refined, and tooltips for Warband Completed Quests provide more context, with the added ability to hide them entirely. Due to an issue, navigation markers for Mage portals have been temporarily disabled.

General UI

UI art has received a visual refresh with updated icons for common interactions and several map icons. Tooltips for completed Mythic+ dungeons now display only the best time ever achieved.
